Massive fire breaks out at abandoned DeKalb County home

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Firefighters spent the afternoon Wednesday battling a blaze at a large abandoned home.

The fire broke out around 6 p.m. at a home along Covington Highway near Midway Road. SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene and spotted massive flames shooting through the roof.

Firefighters were able to dampen the flames down from the outside.

No word on any injuries.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
