Police are investigating a deadly shooting at a hotel in Gwinnett County.

It happened at a Days Inn along Glenn Club Drive early Tuesday morning.

Just after midnight, police said several guests at the hotel called 911 to report shots being fired.

Responding officers found a man in a second-floor hotel room dead from a gunshot wound.  The man has now been identified as 28-year-old Snellville resident Ronald Horton Jr.

According to police, they believe three suspects broke into the room, fired shots and then fled.

A search of the room led police to find marijuana and money.

As detectives continue to process the scene, Gwinnett County Police said they are actively searching for the people responsible.

"Our detectives are working with not only the hotel staff but also the guests to see if we can identify exactly who these suspects are," Gwinnett County Police's Cpl. Michele Pihera said.

Police say surveillance video captured the suspects running off. According to officials, the suspects were very "covered up" so they're working to get a description to send out.
