Man shot and killed in Gwinnett County parking lot

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Police are investigating a shooting death that happened early Sunday morning in a Gwinnett County apartment complex's parking lot. 

Officials were called to the scene on St. Marlowe Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville at 2:30 Sunday morning.

That's where they discovered a black man in his 30's lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to his chest.

Although he was given aid on the scene, the man died before being transported.

Witnesses told police they saw a physical fight between at least two men in the parking lot just before the shooting.
