Man found shot at Atlanta apartment complex may have been 'dumped' there

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police are trying to piece together the events leading up to a man being found shot at a northwest Atlanta apartment complex early Friday morning.

Atlanta Police were called out to an apartment complex on Maple Street in Vine City around 2 a.m. Officer found a man shot to the chest. The man was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Police said his condition was stable as of Friday afternoon.

Investigators said they are trying to determine if the man was shot at the complex or if he was shot and then dumped at that location.

Investigators said they hope to speak to the victim once he is able.

The man’s name has not yet been released.

Information on any suspects or motive was not immediately known.
