Man found dead in vehicle on interstate in DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead on Interstate 20 in DeKalb County early Thursday morning.

Investigators said they are focusing their efforts on an SUV that was discovered along I-20 westbound at I-25 northbound. The victim’s body was discovered inside the vehicle, which had bullet holes on the passenger side.

Police said the shooting stemmed from some type of dispute at a club in Clayton County.

No word as to where the man was headed on I-20 when he died.

The investigation forced I-20 westbound to shut down, but all lanes have since reopened. Traffic is moving, but at a slow pace. The ramp from I-285 northbound to I-20 westbound remains closed.
