A drowning took place at Allatoona Lake on Saturday.
The Department of Natural Resources rangers recovered the body of 36-year-old Migeul Ajpop-Diaz of Canton late Saturday afternoon. Ajpop-Diaz was swimming at Gatewood Park when he went under and did not re-surface, according to witnesses.
