Man charged in connection with 2 fatal shootings

OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) - Police in Alabama have charged a man in connection with two shooting deaths last month.
The Opelika-Auburn News reports (http://bit.ly/2oGi4PX ) that 26-year-old John W. Maddox Jr. was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of murder in the shooting deaths of 27-year-old Sedric Darrell Lewis and 31-year-old Derris Terrel Harris on March 25. Police said in a release that they are searching for a second suspect.
Maddox was taken to the Lee County Jail. No motive has been released. It's unclear if he has a lawyer.
