Man arrested, charged in Snellville murder
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - A Lawrenceville man has been arrested and charged in the murder of Jabari Pettway, who was found dead in Snellville.
Police say Melvin Kent Roberts Jr., 25, is charged with murder, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, harassing phone calls, theft by taking and parole and probation violations.

On November 2, Pettway was found dead on Lenora Road. Police say a worker found his body lying face up in a grassy area that leads to a private driveway. Pettway’s stolen Dodge Avenger was recovered in Atlanta with heavy fire damage, police said.
Roberts is being held at the Gwinnett County jail with no bond.
