Man arrested after Gwinnett County SWAT standoff

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A man is behind bars accused of barricading himself with weapons inside a home on Lake Lanier.

The Gwinnett County Police Department said the home on Garrett Road in Buford was not his and is actually listed for sale.

Officers said Christopher Osterloh ran into the house as they arrived Thursday afternoon and refused to come out.

After several negotiation attempts, a responding SWAT team deployed a chemical irritant into the home causing Osterloh to surrender.

Medics checked him out and police took him into custody.
