Man arrested after 2 nights of vandalism at Atlanta bank

Police have arrested a man after the Wells Fargo bank on Ponce de Leon Avenue was vandalized for the second night in a row.

What we know:

Investigators said the suspect threw a brick through the window late Wednesday, one day after someone shattered the door and another window with a rock.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers arrived at 650 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE and saw a man, identified as Darryn Sims, breaking the glass with bricks. He matched the description of a suspect wanted in a similar vandalism case reported the day before, according to Atlanta police.

Authorities said Sims was taken into custody without incident.

What we don't know:

A motive behind the vandalism has not been released.

What's next:

Police said Sims appears to be linked to multiple business vandalisms in the area. He was placed into Grady detention for evaluation before being booked into the Fulton County Jail on several counts of criminal damage to property.
