Macy's makes a major donation to the Atlanta Community Food Bank to help feed children in need during the summer months.

Macy's employees volunteered at the food bank Friday.

They presented the food bank with a check for more than $31,000.

Customers and employees donated that money at Atlanta area Macy's stores during the company's annual Bag Hunger campaign.

The campaign is meant to alleviate hunger in communities and part of that is providing support for children who rely on school meal programs.

Macy's Bag Hunger campaign runs every year through the month of March.
