Lifeline in DeKalb County offers free adoptions this month

It has been almost a month since crews with DeKalb County Animal Services were called to a home where they seized more than 80 cats.

Officials said they are still working to trap cats in that neighborhood.

Several of the animals rescued that day have been treated by Lifeline Animal Services and adopted. However, many are still there.

On top of that, last week someone dropped off 30 feral cats. Now, workers said the shelter is nearing its max.

The shelter is working with DeKalb County and said trapping could bring in another 20 cats.

Anyone who would like to help, Lifeline is offering free adoptions for many of its animals through the end of the month. Visit lifelineanimal.org/lifeline-dekalb-adoptions for more.
