Lake City Police officer arrested for child sexual exploitation

LAKE CITY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A Lake City Police officer is accused of sexual exploitation of children.

Officer Jonathan Balsam faces several charges including obscene internet contact with a child and electronically furnishing obscene material to minors.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Balsam committed those crimes using an online ad service.

He was booked into the Clayton County Jail.
