Johns Creek police officer wins at 2017 World Police & Fire CrossFit games

An officer with the Johns Creek Police Department showed off his muscles and athleticism by winning first place in his age group in the 2017 World Police and Fire CrossFit games.

Sergeant Ronnie Young competed with athletes, all part of police and fire departments from 65 countries, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The top 10 in each discipline were invited to compete.  The competition took place on August 14 and 15 where Sgt. Young prevailed in first place for his age bracket.

Sgt. Young said that the experience was “absolutely amazing!”  Sgt. Young said that “to be able to compete at this level with people who put their lives on the line for others every day was an honor he cannot put into words”.
