Iraq War Veteran attacked at DC McDonald's
WASHINGTON - Police are searching for a group of suspects who attacked an Iraq war veteran at a D.C. McDonald's.
Christopher Marquez, 30, says he was eating in a back corner of the chain's Penn Quarter restaurant on Friday night when a group of teens and young men approached his table and began harassing him.
The group allegedly asked Marquez, who was awarded a Bronze Star for his service, whether "black lives matter" and then called him a racist.
After the initial altercation, Marquez says one of the perpetrators hit him in the head with a gun and then stole his wallet.
Marquez is a student at American University.
