Injured high school athletes surprised before CFB championship game in Atlanta

The City of Atlanta and Dream On 3 Georgia teamed up to fulfill wishes of two teens whose promising sports careers were halted by life-altering injuries.

Karter Galbreath, a standout baseball player from Hazlehurst, Georgia, suffered a serious head injury in late March last year when he was struck by a baseball during practice. Ben Kerbo, of Joelton, Tennessee, sustained a spinal injury in a single-car crash. Both teens were treated at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, a facility renowned for its rehabilitation services.

This past weekend, the teens were treated to an unforgettable experience. Their day began with a warm welcome from the Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders, followed by a surprise visit from former college football and NFL stars. The teens also enjoyed a VIP tour of the College Football Hall of Fame, immersing themselves in the history and excitement of the sport.
