Holiday shipping deadlines looming: What you need to know
WASHINGTON (FOX 5) - As we inch closer to Christmas -- shipping deadlines are fast approaching.
Today (Dec. 18) is the last day for standard Amazon free shipping. This is the deadline for general Amazon deliveries.
The deadline for Amazon Prime free Two-Day Shipping is Saturday, and the deadline for Prime One-day shipping is Sunday.
Additionally, today is the last day to ship UPS three-day select for delivery by Christmas eve.

The Postal Service recommends using the following mailing and shipping deadlines:
Tuesday, Dec. 18 – APO/FPO/DPO (except ZIP Code 093) USPS Priority Mail Express
Thursday, Dec. 20 – First-Class Mail (including greeting cards)
Thursday, Dec. 20 – First-class Packages (up to 15.99 ounces)
Thursday, Dec. 20 – Hawaii to mainland Priority Mail and First-Class Mail
Thursday, Dec. 20 – Priority Mail
Thursday, Dec. 20 – Alaska to mainland Priority Mail and First-Class Mail
Saturday, Dec. 22 – Alaska to mainland Priority Mail Express
Saturday, Dec. 22 – Hawaii to mainland Priority Mail Express
Saturday, Dec. 22 – Priority Mail Express
