The Atlanta Hawks' Thabo Sefolosha he won't take a plea deal connected to a confrontation outside a Manhattan nightclub.

His attorney said the guard has requested a trial to clear his name.

Police said he and teammate Pero Antic, got in the way while they were investigating the stabbing of another NBA player in April.

Officers said Sefolosha ignored orders to step away from the crime scene and became combative.

The Hawks player says the arrest resulted in the broken leg that ended his season.

This week, prosecutors announced they were dropping charges against Pero Antic.
