SNELLVILLE, Ga. - Police in Gwinnett County hope surveillance video helps them catch the people who opened fire at a gas station. It happened Sunday evening at the QuikTrip on Centerville Highway in Snellville.
Leroy Sheppard said he was pumping gas when bullets started flying. One bullet struck Sheppard in the foot.
Surveillance video shows the suspects get out of a white Dodge Journey. They approach a silver car and start talking with the occupants inside the car.
Police said when the silver car drove off, the men started shooting at it. Sheppard said there were about 40 people at the gas station when gunfire erupted. He said it’s a miracle no one else was injured.
Police said they’ve located the Dodge Journey, but are still looking for the suspects. Police believe the two men are possibly between 18-24 years old.
Anyone with information should contact the Gwinnett County Police Department.
