Police released a sketch of a man they said is responsible for a brazen midday sexual assault in a Gwinnett County neighborhood.

Residents in the Twin Branches subdivision on Braselton Highway in Lawrenceville have been on edge after the weekend attack in their community.

One of their neighbors was sexually assaulted in her backyard late Saturday morning. Neighbors were nearby; unaware the woman was being attacked. The assailant attacked the woman when she walked into her storage shed.

Neighbor Rhonda Watt said the woman "hollered for help twice because she said she could hear people, but nobody could hear her and that was pretty sad, upsetting for her nobody could hear. She tried."

Wednesday, residents came together to hear from police about what is being done and to figure out how they can help.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man with a stocky build in his mid-30's or early 40's. He wore a yellow and white striped shirt sleeve polo shirt, blue jeans, black glasses and a red ball cap during the attack.

Gwinnett County Police Department's Special Victims Unit detectives can be reached at 770-513-5300. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
