Group of men are caught on camera breaking into a home

Union City Police are searching for three men caught on camera breaking into a home on Bell Tower Land last week. The video shows three black men, who police say are likely in their teens to early-twenties, breaking open a door and entering the home. At least one of them is armed with a handgun. Authorities say the suspects stole nearly $2,000 worth of electronics from the home.

Investigators say the surveillance camera that captured the break-in was connected to a live video feed through the internet. The homeowner happened to be watching while she was at work and called police. The suspects were able to escape before police arrived.

Investigators also think this break-in may be connected to a similar incident that happened this past weekend in Peachtree City. According to Peachtree City Police, a business-owner was followed home from his restaurant by three black men. Authorities say those men attacked the business-owner in their driveway and then stole cash, jewelry and the victim's car. That car was later found abandoned near the Union City exit on I-85 in Fulton County.

While authorities are not certain the two crimes are related, they say the similarities are too great not to examine the possibility. If you have any information, you are urged to call the Peachtree City Police Department or the Union City Police Department.
