Grandmother speaks on controversial arrest in Alpharetta
ALPHARETTA, Ga. - The woman at the center of an arrest that made headlines across the country was honored on Mother's Day.
Alpharetta Police pulled 65-year-old Rose Campbell from her car after they said she refused to sign a ticket.
Sunday, State Representative Erica Thomas honored Campbell for what she called outstanding leadership.
Mrs. Campbell said as traumatizing as the incident was for her, she believes everything happened for a reason.
One of the arresting officers resigned from Alpharetta Police Department after the video became public.
