Governor makes appointment to Georgia Court of Appeals
ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia's governor has appointed a state agency head to fill a vacancy on the state Court of Appeals.
Gov. Nathan Deal on Monday announced that Clyde L. Reese III will fill the spot left by the retirement of Court of Appeals Judge Herbert E. Phipps. Reese's appointment takes effect Dec. 1.
Reese is currently the commissioner of the Georgia Department of Community Health. He previously served as assistant attorney general for the state and general counsel for the State Health Planning Agency. He has also practiced health care regulatory law in the private sector.
His specialties are health care regulatory and administrative law.
