Paul previews Valentine's Day at Chateau Elan:

Want to impress your partner this Valentine’s Day? There’s no better way than lacing up your skates and showing off with a few triple axels on the ice!

Actually, scratch that: leave the triple axels to the Olympians. But an evening under the stars at The Rink at Chateau is still a perfect Valentine’s Day date, as we learned this morning on Good Day Atlanta!

Braselton’s Chateau Elan Winery and Resort is celebrating the winter season by hosting The Rink at Chateau, an outdoor ice skating rink operating daily through Feb. 17. Admission to the rink is $25 per person ($15 for children 12 and under), and includes skate rental and 90 minutes of time on the ice. And after that hour-and-a-half of salchows and spins, you might be thirsty, right? Well, there are also hot beverages for sale (we’re talking hot chocolate and cider … and spiked versions of both!) and s’mores kits for use over the nearby fire pits.

Hours for The Rink at Chateau are 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays and noon to 9 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays — for more information on visiting, click here. And yes, it will be open on Valentine's Day, with a special "couple's skate" theme for the afternoon and evening.

But we didn’t spend all morning gliding across the ice; we also checked out other Valentine’s Day options at Chateau Elan (including intimate dinners at the several on-site restaurants) and the resort’s long list of activities perfect for Galentine’s Day, when you want a little time with just you and your girlfriends (that’s where the resort's popular Wine Bungalows come in!).
