Georgia lawmakers seek to expand medical marijuana registry
ATLANTA - State lawmakers petition for a bill that would expand eligibility for the state's medical marijuana registry.
The new bill would expand the registry system to include patients with post-traumatic stress disorder and patients with intractable pain, a condition that causes severe and constant pain.
The current system allows patients on the registry to legally use low THC oil as a treatment.
The oil has just small amounts of THC, the psycho-active ingredient in marijuana.
