Funeral services underway for fallen Peach County deputy

PEACH COUNTY, Ga. - A second Peach County deputy who was killed in the line of duty will be laid to rest Saturday.
WMAZ reports the funeral service for Daryl Smallwood will be held at 1p.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins. A visitation began at 11 a.m. at the church, followed by the service and a burial at Prosperity Primitive Baptist Church in Taylor County.

Smallwood and Sgt. Patrick Sondron were shot as they responded to a dispute between neighbors in Byron.
Funeral services for Sondron was held on Thursday in Warner Robbins.
A Byron police officer shot the alleged shooter, Stanley Elrod, who was arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault.
