Four Atlanta fast food drive thrus hit by robbers
ATLANTA - The time for these brazen fast food robberies is usually around midnight.
Although that is late, there are plenty of hungry patrons in the line trying to order. The robbers, they also order food, but only to proceed through the queue line for what they really want: all the cash in the drive thru cash box.
Atlanta police said it has happened four times recently and the thieves are not picky when it comes to which chain to hit. Workers at McDonalds, Checkers and Wendy's have all had guns stuck in their faces.
Fortunately, no shots have been fired in these incidents. Police have one teen in custody. They believe that suspect worked with two others still on the loose. Detectives have been given nicknames: Twin and Santanna.
Anyone with information that may help, contact the Atlanta Police Department or Atlanta Crime Stoppers.
