FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. - A man is turning to the community for help after his best friend was allegedly shot and killed by his brother this week in the home they shared with their parents.
What we know:
Nick Long has created a GoFundMe to cover funeral expenses for 30-year-old Matthew Clayton Arthurs, who authorities say died late Monday night.

Hall County deputies responded to a home in the 4800 block of Rose Heights Drive just after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, where they found Matthew deceased.
The backstory:
Matthew’s father called 911 when he found him on a sofa in the basement suffering from a gunshot wound that morning, deputies said.
Investigators believe the shooting happened late Monday night, and Matthew died before authorities arrived.

A gun was recovered at the scene.
36-year-old Cristofer Daniel Arthurs, Matthew’s brother, was arrested in connection with the shooting. Cristofer faces charges for malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault.
Cristofer reportedly remained on the scene and was taken to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office headquarters for questioning before his arrest.
What we don't know:
Authorities have not released a motive for the shooting.
