A Florida family has traveled to Georgia to search for Katrice Simmons, a 59-year-old woman who vanished after moving to the state in April.

What we know:

A Florida family is searching for 59-year-old Katrice Simmons after she relocated to Georgia in April to live with a man she met online.

Family members say they were allegedly residing at an apartment off Lanier Street NW in Fulton County, but no one has heard from Simmons since May 19.

Simmons regularly checks in with her relatives, making her disappearance unusual and her daughter noted that she sounded in distress during their final conversation.

The family has actively searched area hospitals, jails and other facilities across Georgia, but she has not been found.

What we don't know:

Authorities and family members do not know the location of Simmons, her belongings, her phone or her vehicle. She was driving a black Chevrolet Equinox that had a missing rear window.

Although her family spoke with the man Simmons moved to Georgia to live with, he stated that he does not know where she is located. Her phone remains turned off.

What they're saying:

"All we want to know is where she is, where is her car, where is her phone, where her belongings are. She had to use a U-Haul truck to get from Florida to get to here," said Felicia Pettiway, Simmons' sister.

What you can do:

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Katrice Simmons or her vehicle is asked to contact the Atlanta Police Department.
