Firefighters battle Gwinnett County apartment fire

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Firefighters in Gwinnett County spent Friday evening battling an apartment fire.

It happened at the Capella Apartments located in the 800 block of Preston Lake Drive a little after 9:30 p.m. Gwinnett County firefighters said they responded after getting multiple calls the building was full engulfed in flames.

Fire crews worked late into the put out the fire completely and hit hot spots. It was not immediately clear how much damage the blaze caused or how many residents were displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. 

No word on any injuries.
