Fire destroys fifteen apartment units in Gwinnett County
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Several families were displaced Saturday after a fire damaged multiple units at an apartment complex in unincorporated Lawrenceville.
According to Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services, fire crews went to scene in the 3500 block of Club Drive after someone called saying there was a fire at the apartments.
Fifteen units suffered significant smoke, heat, and water damage, according to officials. The roof and a breezeway were also heavily damaged.
Investigators are working to learn what caused the fire.
Red Cross officials said they assisted 31 displaced residents.
