Family search for witness of head-on crash
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. - A plea from a New Jersey man who was severely injured in a crash in Douglas County.
He hopes someone who may have been an eyewitness will contact troopers.
A picture was taken shortly after the Saturday morning crash shows the scene.
It happened on Highway 166 around 6 a.m.
That's about three hours before Paul Penamon needed to be at the airport to fly home.
He says a car crossed the center lane and hit him head-on.
Penamon suffered several injuries including a broken femur, collapsed lung, and five broken ribs.
He says he was told a man witnessed the crash but did not get to speak with investigators.
FOX 5 News reached out to the Georgia State Patrol to find out about charges and the other driver's condition but did not hear back from them as of Wednesday afternoon.
