WINSON, Ga. - A family in Winston, Ga. is reeling from the terrible effects of Monday night's storm on their farm.
Margie Awtrey told FOX 5 that the storm destroyed a historic family barn that had been in the family for five generations.
She said that her grandfather uses the barn to sell hay to local farmers, but that storm completely ruined all the stored hay.
The storm also destroyed a number of the farm's pastures and fences, she said.
As many as 15 cows are also missing from her family's farm. Family members are searching for the missing livestock, but they are worried that the animals are already dead.
The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado had struck a neighborhood in south Fulton County on Monday. The damage caused by the storm is still being calculated
