The DeKalb County Police Department said they have made a major break in a string of car break-ins across the state.

Police arrested 33-year-old Anthony Vaughn Wednesday on Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain. When police searched his Lexus, they found several stolen items ranging from colognes, baseball caps, watches, laptops, cell phones and even a gun.

NewsRadio 106.7’s Nathalie Pozo on Thursday exclusively got a chance to view the evidence seized by police during the arrest.

Investigators believe Vaughn is responsible for more than a dozen car burglaries throughout the state. They are working with authorities in Rockdale and Gwinnett counties as well as the city of Conyers to try to locate victims.

Police will also be contacting pawn shops hoping to retrieve more of the stolen items.
