Elderly traveler comforts scared girl at Atlanta's airport

A metro Atlanta man witnessed a heartwarming moment while riding the train at Atlanta's airport.

Douglas Beaty said he was riding the plane train at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport last month when he noticed a mother traveling with her daughter and baby. The mother had her hands full carrying her baby as well as a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

Beaty said the woman's older child was scared to be on the train, so fellow passengers stepped in to try to console her. That's when an elderly traveler grabbed the little girl's hand to let her know it would be okay.

"She immediately became calm," Beaty told FOX 5's Katie Burk

Beaty said the little girl is from Chicago, but he isn't sure where the kindhearted woman is from.

"My heart almost exploded watching these strangers hold hands for comfort," Beaty said.
