Douglasville Police identify young girl, DFACS investigating

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police in Douglasville said they know the identity of the young girl dropped off Friday morning at a daycare center.

Douglasville Police said the father of 3-year-old girl contacted authorities immediately after learning she was in their custody.

Police said the child is in healthy condition. Officers declined to release the name of the father, mother, or the child but said they know who all three are.

The Division of Family and Children Services is now investigating.
