Douglas County Sheriff's Deputy charged with DUI
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. - A deputy with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office was arrested and charged with DUI and failure to maintain a lane, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Matthew Owen Harper was arrested on Saturday, March 25. He has been with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office for 13 years.
The incident is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol. Harper has been suspended without pay depending on disciplinary hearings.
