Man killed, brother hospitalized in double shooting at NW Atlanta home, police say

One man is dead, and his brother is seriously injured after a double shooting at a northwest Atlanta home early Sunday morning.

Investigators say the shooting happened at a home on the 200 block of Chappell Road shortly after midnight.

What we know:

Police tell FOX 5 that officers responded to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting.

When they got to the home, officers found a 26-year-old man who had been shot multiple times and a 28-year-old man who had been shot at least once.

Medical personnel pronounced the older victim dead at the scene.

Medics rushed the other man to a local hospital for treatment. On last report, he was expected to survive his injuries.

What we don't know:

Investigators have not released the identities of the victims or said what led up to the deadly violence.

It is not known if anyone else was involved in the shooting.
