More than 1,000 people attended Monday morning. The university worked closely with law enforcement and secret service to ensure safety.
"It's important because there are a lot of people...very large crowds...to it's important to be aware of your surroundings. Watch out for people who look like they're about to do something dangerous. But for the most part, they have just been voicing their opinions, and that's perfectly fine," said M. Quentin Williams, former FBI Agent.
Seats for this event were on a first-come first-serve basis.
Trump will continue his campaign trail with stops scheduled for Florida and Ohio later Monday.
