Dolly Parton: Fellow singers, actors, and elected officials remember the global superstar

Following the news of Dolly Parton's death, fellow singers, actors, and elected officials took to social media to pay tribute to and remember the global superstar.
President Trump took to Truth Social to remember Parton and ordered the American Flag lowered in her honor.
Actress Jane Fonda remembered her "9 to 5 "co-star and longtime friend Dolly Parton in a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, writing:
"I am devastated. I just learned that Dolly has moved on. I know that millions are mourning and I want to say this – more than anyone I have ever known, Dolly will always be with us because she was so present, so powerful, so generous and playful that she is woven into all our lives and hearts forever. We have our memories of her, her songs, Dollywood, "9to5," the millions of books she got into the hands of children, all the iconic images that bring her to us. And they are all blessings."
TMZ reported that Fonda also said people should try to stay positive following Parton's death and to be appreciative for the legacy she left behind, which should "ease our sadness."

Fellow country music superstar Reba McEnitre posted on X, thanking Dolly for all she did.
Singer and songwriter Steve Perry also honored Dolly Parton's legacy in a statement.
"I just heard the very sad news about Dolly Parton. I so very much enjoyed working with her on her ‘Rockstar’ record and talking with her. A true timeless legend she will always be," Perry wrote Tuesday.
The Grand Ole Opry shared their love for Dolly in a post on X.
Fellow country music singer Trace Adkins took to X saying: "It is indeed rare for the world, collectively, to express sorrow for someone’s passing."
