Thousands of people will be gathering in Piedmont Park this weekend for the annual Dogwood Festival.

The three-day event is one of the longest-running festivals in Atlanta and begins Friday. It's free and draws more than 200,000 people to the park every year.

Hundreds of artists, vendors, food, and musicians will be at the festival. This year's headliner on Saturday night is Shawn Mullins.

The festival is open Friday from noon until 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Artist Market closed Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
