A seizure warrant was issued Friday to a licensed breeder who was charged with 74 counts of animal cruelty.  The Macon-Bibb County Animal Welfare Department, the Bibb County Sherriff’s Office and state inspectors seized the animals.

The Atlanta Humane Society assisted in the rescue of dozens of dogs, where they will undergo a full medical and behavioral evaluation.  The rescued breeds include miniature poodles, cockapoos, schnauzers, bichon-poos and schnoodle mixes.

Many of the dogs have eye and ear infections and several of the dogs are blind.

The dogs are expected to be ready for adoption in in the coming weeks at the Mansell Campus in Alpharetta. The society is asking for professional groomers to donate their time and services if possible due to the grooming requirements for many of the breeds.
