Dog rescued by Atlanta Police officer up for adoption

ATLANTA - A dog who survived an apartment fire is ready for his new home.

The dog named Smokey is up for adoption at Fulton County Animal Services.

Smokey's dramatic rescue was caught on video.

Body cam footage shows the dog unable to move and struggling to breathe.

A firefighter pulls him to safety, does chest compressions, and Smokey is then seen starting breath again.

The pup has since been checked out and cleared by vets.

He's just waiting for a forever home.
