FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. - Authorities are searching for a man accused in a hit-and-run accident that caused a pregnant woman to lose her child.
On July 21, just after 3 p.m., the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office responded to Canton Road just west of Sawnee Drive after a two-car collision. According to deputies, the driver and two passengers in the at-fault vehicle ran from the scene, leaving behind a 26-year-old woman who was 8-months pregnant.
The pregnant woman was taken to a local hospital, where she later lost her child due to her injuries from the crash.
On Thursday, the sheriff's office identified Nicholas Alonzo-Ramos as the driver who fled the scene. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Deputies need help locating the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call 404-577-TIPS. A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for any information that could lead to his arrest.
