Deputies: Man stole Girl Scouts cookie cash box
DELTONA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Volusia County sheriff’s investigators are looking for a man who stole a money box from a 12-year-old girl who was selling Girl Scout cookies Sunday outside a Deltona Wal-Mart. A spokesperson with the Sheriff's Office says a white or Hispanic man approached the girl’s table outside the store, grabbed the money box and ran into the parking lot, before climbing into newer-model gray Hyundai Santa Fe. Witnesses said they believed the vehicle had a North Carolina tag.
Surveillance footage showed the suspect approaching the store with a white woman wearing a pink jacket and walking with a small child.
