Deputies: Man arrested for stabbing stepsister in Cherokee County

A Cherokee County man was arrested on Monday after deputies said he stabbed of his stepsister.

Tyler Holloway was taken into custody for stabbing his 33-year-old stepsister Carissa Mills, Cherokee County deputies said.

Investigators received a call on Saturday at a home along Pine Branches Court near Acworth. When they were on the scene they found Mills alive but with multiple stab wounds deputies said.

Holloway fled to a house on New Hope Road while Mills was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and treated then released.

Deputies charged Holloway with aggravated assault and aggravate battery.

He was booked into the Cherokee Adult Detention without bond.
