Deputies: Douglas County man points gun at his own father
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. - Deputies have arrested a man they said pointed a gun at his own father.
It happened around 10:30 a.m. Monday on Kent Drive near Lithia Springs.
Robert James Brashier, 43, went to his father’s house, got into an argument and then pointed a handgun at his father, according to investigators. Deputies said the father responded by getting his shotgun and firing two shots. It is unclear if the father shot Brashier.
Deputies said no charges are expected to be filed against the father. His name has not been released by investigators.
Robert James Brashier was charged with aggravated assault and two counts of simple assault stemming from the incident. He was booked into the Douglas County Jail.
Brashier is expected to appear in court Tuesday morning.
