Deputies: Body found in Barrow County pond

BARROW COUNTY, Ga. - Deputies in Barrow County are investigating after the discovery of a body in a pond Thursday.

The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called out to a pond off Booth Circle in Winder after a report of a person floating in the water.

Deputies said they recovered the body, which was taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab for an autopsy.

The identity and cause of death was not immediately known.
