DeKalb County shooting leaves 2 injured, 1 dead in attempted murder-suicide

Police in DeKalb County are investigating a shooting as an attempted murder-suicide. 

It happened around 7:20 p.m. on Friday at a home near the intersection of Martins Crossing Road and S. Hairston Road. 

What we know:

According to the DeKalb County Police Department, officers found a man and a woman, both in their 50s, with apparent gunshot wounds. 

The man, who was shot in the back, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. 

The woman, who was shot in the chest, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. 

A third man was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

 Investigators say the third man was in the middle of a mental health crisis.

What we don't know:

The names of those involved have not been released. 

The conditions of the first man and woman were not immediately available. 

The incident remains under investigation.
