DeKalb County police: Girl, 14, injured in shooting

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - A teen was injured in a shooting Thursday night in DeKalb County. 

Police said about 50 teens gathered at a home on Bluebird Lane for a back to school party. 

Police were called to the scene around 10:30 p.m. Responding officers found a 14-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound to her abdomen.

The teen victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

According to police, witnesses said a silver or grey sedan with two African American males inside pulled up in front of the location. One of the suspects got out of the car and opened fire, striking the victim.

Witnesses told investigators the two suspects drove off in the same car after the shooting.
